Bio:

Hi pals! My name is Colleen Fiddler (she/her) and I’m a Métis mixed media artist currently living in Canada, on Treaty 6 Land, with my partner and our dogs. I have a background in photography and a Fine Arts Diploma. I’ve been tattooing since the autumn of 2022 and prior to tattooing on skin, apprenticed for almost 3 years. I’m also a linocut printmaker and recently I’ve begun making stained glass pieces.

My work is inspired by folklore, fantasy, medieval artwork and armor, and the natural world.

I work out of Prairie Witch Tattoo, my own studio space, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Treaty 6:

I would like to acknowledge that I am on the Treaty 6 land of Amiskwaciy-wâskahikan. As a Métis person who is predominantly white passing, I acknowledge the privilege that this offers me. I also recognize that my work as a tattoo artist is a contemporary and heavily westernized adaptation of tattooing’s Indigenous origins. I am extremely privileged to express myself and help my clients heal and mark time using this sacred and ancient practice. I am grateful to be able to work on this land, and to those who care for, and continue to care for this land and it’s traditions. I pledge to commit to advancing reconciliation, fight against systemic racism, and protect my clients.
